The Palace is a 420 seat theatre with a Grade 2 listed auditorium situated in the heart of Redditch’s town centre. Operated by Place Partnership the theatre boasts all the modern comforts you’d expect including an intimate bar for preshow and interval drinks and an eclectic programme of entertainment for all.
In the spring of 2017, long standing building services consultants, Stewart Associates carried out an indepth redesign of the Theatres existing LPHW system including boiler replacement. The installation of 3No ECA approved Ethos 110kW condensing boilers and ancillary equipment was installed by established Stourport based contractor Severn Group. An existing workshop to the rear of the Theatre was converted to house the new boilers which provide LPHW to underfloor heating, radiators, numerous air handling units aswell as a primary supply to existing HWS cylinders.
In addition the new plant benefitted from the installation of a Mikrovent 400 low loss header/air dirt separator. The Mikrovent absorbs heat circulated by the boiler shunt pumps and re distributes downstream to the relevant circuits whilst filtering sediment as small as 5 microns and removing dissolved gases.
