CPD Training with Mikrofill
Filling Commercial Heating & Chilled Water Systems
This presentation covers both historical and modern methods of filling and accommodating expansion in hydronic systems. In addition the CPD touches on the regulations for backflow prevention on commercial LPHW/CHW systems.

What is the Loading Principle?
The domestic hot water loading principle is an innovative method that combines the advantages of both an instantaneous hot water heater and a storage system. This in turn creates engineering sense by maximising the potential efficiency between a commercial condensing boiler and a hot water cylinder.
The loading principle address’s and overcomes all of the disadvantages of the historical methods of hot water production whilst reducing the proliferation of legionella bacteria.

Cold Water Boosting
Cold Water Booster Sets - Principles This CPD provides an introduction to aspects of cold water supply including domestic service standards and building regulations. It also includes an introduction to the types of packaged cold water booster sets generally available and discusses the advantages and disadvantages relating to where and how they might be installed.
Cold Water Booster Sets - System Specification This CPD provides a detailed step by step approach to sizing and specifying cold water booster sets and cold water storage and worked examples in accordance with UK sizing guidance standards detailed within BS EN 806.
